Safe, School-Controlled AI for STEM Classrooms

An advanced AI avatar and humanoid robot, deployed to help teachers, and equalize educational resources for all students.
01
Empowering Teachers, Not Replacing Them
Built around your curriculum, it gives teachers more time and support for small groups, homework help, and the moments that matter most.
02
Raising Achievement, One Student at a Time
The Optio avatar provides a 1:1 experience for students while allowing only authorized teachers secure access to student-specific insights to better support them in class.
03
Meet Every Learner Where They Are
Adapts to each student's language, comprehension level, and pace, so no one feels lost or held back.
04
Privacy You Can Trust, Built In
Student data always stays protected. All interactions and student data is in possession of and controlled by the school.
"We are moving beyond lab demonstrations and pilots to deliver real, embodied AI
directly into classrooms — supporting teachers, engaging students, and proving that advanced robotics can thrive in live educational environments."

Frequently Asked Questions

How do the robots move?
Our robots come with hardware that is in a fixed position. That way our robots are able to provide dynamic and engaging conversation, while not posing any risk of stepping on toes or falling on students. They do not have the mechanical ability to move on their own.
Is the system collecting student data to train AI models?
No. Optio uses district-approved educational content and does not learn from user interactions. Student conversations are solely controlled by the school and not stored.
Will the robot recognize or identify students?
The classroom robot does not include the Vinci vision system so there is no visual student identification. Each interaction is anonymous. No student personal or privacy information is able to be identified or accessed by the robot. Realbotix never sees or accesses any personal student data. Student logins are handled by the school.
Is the robot always listening?
Robot interactions can only be initiated by an authorized teacher.  Outside of initiated session the robot is unable to access audio input. It is not designed for continuous classroom listening.
What can the robot and avatar discuss?
They are restricted to the educational knowledge base supplied or approved by district teachers — specific subjects, lesson materials, course content, and syllabi.
What are the robots used for?
Our robot and AI Avatars are educational support tools. They assist and enhance the teachers ability to lead and maintain high quality instruction, make classroom decisions, and ensure content selection, while guiding students.
Does Optio collect or store any student personal information?
No. The system collects zero personal information. Students log in through their school’s own systems. All data remains under the school’s control and is encrypted. Realbotix never receives any student identities or personal details.
Does the robot pull answers from the internet or ChatGPT?
No. All educational content is pre-loaded locally, and approved by the district. The robot never searches the web.
Will this robot replace teachers?
Absolutely not. Optio is designed as an instructional support tool for STEAM learning. It enhances what teachers do and never replaces educators or meaningful human interaction.
What will the robot look like?
The design is developed in partnership with the school. It will not look like any previous robot created by Realbotix.
