Did you know?

There are various use cases for our socially intelligent robots and humanoid figures. The case study below highlights a use for robots you may not have considered.

Realbotix Aids in Military Training with Cutting-Edge Technology

Johns Hopkins Hospital and the United States Armed Forces, working in a joint initiative,  commissioned Realbotix to build a lifelike robot. Our task involved creating a humanoid figure that accurately replicated the human form, inclusive of appearance and weight.

Realbotix created an accelerometer-loaded, 170lb, life-sized robot programmed to collect data that would indicate where points of pain and injury might occur if it were human. The robot was placed in a conflict zone simulation where military personnel performed scenarios that involved removing the robot from danger. Movements and impacts to the robot were captured in real-time, informing military trainers on the safest and most efficient ways to transport injured soldiers out of combat scenarios.

The result? Incredible insights were gained on how to safely transport wounded infantry, leading to enhanced safety measures on the battlefield. This collaboration is a testament to Realbotix's commitment to using our highly realistic robots and humanoid figures to improve the human condition and use our technology to make a real-world impact.

At Realbotix, we create robots with a human touch that bridge the barrier between man and machine.
